To give emotional, spiritual, and mental support to assigned Members of MissionNext

Position:   MemberCare Leader (Part-Time, Volunteer)
Location: USA

Essential duties and expectations of the role:

  • Have regular, meaningful, and purposeful contact with assigned Members utilizing FaceTime and/or phone calls.
  • Send appropriate texts, emails, and snail mail correspondence to support and encourage Member.
  • Pray with, have Scriptural devotions and regular discussions about Member’s spiritual growth.
  • Ensure integrity and confidentiality of information in the MemberCare program and with all candidates
  • Participate in onboarding and orientation.
  • Respond in a timely manner to emails, voicemails, and texts.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls when invited.
  • Complete all assignments given by the direct supervisor.
  • Take part in ascribed training and learning to better fulfill the requirements of the position.
  • Represent MissionNext in all interactions (internal and external) with integrity and respect.
  • Serve as unto the Lord – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.” (Colossians 2:23-24)
  • Other duties as assigned and agreed upon.

Educational / Experience / Skills Requirements for role:

  • Experience in a missions, ministerial, or pastoral role
  • Experience in Biblical counseling.
  • Prefer experience with MS Office programs and virtual communication tools like Zoom.
  • Christ-follower, personable, excellent communication and people skills, comfortable and confident in abilities, dependent on prayer, spiritually mature.

Supervision: This position does not supervise other positions. This position reports to the Chief HR Officer.

Working conditions / physical requirements: Preferred average hours per week 1-3. Work is done remotely, and Member will work from home using his/her own computer and internet. There may be little in-person contact, and day-to-day contact is digital via tools such as email, telephone, and video conferencing.

Travel requirements: Travel to regional or national MissionNext meetings or gatherings is optional. Travel expenses may be reimbursed.
